Mom. This one word encompasses so many different duties and personality types that it really can’t even come close to describing a person. For the past ten years, I have been on a journey of figuring out how I can be a little bit more than just “mom”. I am a super spunkie chick who pushes myself to the limits every day. I’m a little bit country, a little bit punk rock and a big mix of everything else. I’m a kick butt overachiever with expectations (for myself and everyone else) that are higher than the empire state building. Life is super fun when it changes everyday and the second best thing to actually living the dream, is being able to share it with the world! I AM SpunkieVirgoMom!

Nice to meet you

Now that we’ve met on a formal level, you probably actually want to know a little bit more about me and my crazy life, right? I’ll do my best with the basics but if you really want to experience the wonders of me, you’ll have to keep up with my ever-changing and completely rocking journey.

I am a 30 year old stay at home mom (do we really ever stay home?). I live in North Central Florida with my hubby of 11 years (we’ll call him Mr. Perfect) and my 3 wonderfully insane children. Pookie is my first born. He is 10 now and embodies most of my traits (good and bad) while keeping me on my toes in the attitude and discipline department. Boomer is the middle child. He is 6 years old, looks and acts just like his daddy, and is the shy comedian of the family (does that even make sense?). Sassy is the princess baby girl. She is 4 years old and the most diverse of the kids. She’s a diva at heart but definitely holds her own in a house with 2 brothers. Life is usually super crazy but that’s what makes it fun!

The variety of stories and information you will find on this blog are endless. My mission is to take all of the mundane things that most “normal moms” do like cooking, cleaning, sewing, farming, etc. and turn them into the most interesting, innovative, and enjoyable tasks. Don’t be lazy, don’t think you’re too busy, and definitely don’t tell me you’re too inexperienced! Read my stories, experiment with some of my ideas, like them (or not), but most importantly – have fun, make memories, and do what YOU want to do without worrying what everyone else thinks.
