Valentine’s Sugar Wafers

Valentine Sugar Wafers

This is hands-down the easiest Valentine treat I have ever made. They are pretty much pure sugar, but as a treat in moderation, you can’t go wrong with these because they are yummy and cute (and did I say easy?).

If you’re in a pinch for an easy kid treat, these are sure to be gobbled up quick!

Sugar Wafer Ingredients

Ingredients

Strawberry Sugar Wafer

(this could be done with Vanilla Sugar wafers, too)

White Chocolate or Almond Bark

(plus 1-2 tbsp. shortening for thinning)

Sprinkles

How – To

Melt the white chocolate. You may want to add 1-2 tbsp. of crisco to thin the chocolate enough to dip it. Start with 1 tbsp and add more a little bit at a time until it is nice and smooth. I used a mason jar because it is easy!

Melting Candy in a Mason Jar

Dip the sugar wafer in the chocolate, coat it about halfway up, and lay it on a sheet pan lined with wax paper.

Sugar wafer dipped in candy

While the candy coating is still wet, pour on some sprinkles!

Sugar wafers dipped and sprinkled

Refrigerate the sugar wafers until the chocolate hardens (this doesn’t take long).

Valentine Sugar Wafers

Put them on a cute tray or in bags with pretty ribbon and send them to school!

Does it get any easier? Only if you buy something from the store!
